I decided to go for the International Graduate Programme about 6 months into my Masters Degree.
To be honest, during my undergraduate degree, I wasn’t sure which career path I wanted to go down, so that’s why I opted for the Masters in Food Marketing. I found food and drink marketing the most interesting, and most relevant considering the trade link between Ireland and China. I always wanted to represent an Irish food or drink brand in China, that was the goal since day one. When the Jameson Graduate Programme popped up on my LinkedIn, I knew it was time to apply. I’ve never looked back since.
I’ve learned so much on the Programme. The connections and relationships (both personal and professional) that I have gained through my three years working with the brand are incredible. My role scope and variety over the three years has given me great exposure amongst different teams and departments. The skills I have honed through my progression from year 1 to year 3 are invaluable, and have given me the confidence to strive for any marketing role that my career may direct me to. On top of this, being an integral part of the growth of a seeding brand in a competitive market, and having the chance to put my Chinese language skills into practice in a professional environment was an unbelievable experience.
