I entered the Graduate program in 2014 having attained a Masters in Management degree from the UCD Smurfit Business School, Dublin, and before this, my undergraduate degree was based in Civil Law in UCC. My time on the program positively challenged me as a person and a professional. I had the opportunity to work in three vastly different markets in Norway, Texas and New York. This allowed me to work with the Jameson Brand at very different stages of brand maturity, and gave me great insights into the all facets of the Spirits Industry. I had the opportunity to work in culturally diverse workspaces, on projects that allowed me to develop my marketing skill set.
In my final year on the program, I worked as a Brand Development Executive with the New York Brand Team. I had the chance to help build national programs that would help drive Jameson Caskmates innovation brand in the U.S. One such program was Jameson Drinking Buddies, where I helped recruit 16 Craft Brewery partners across 16 different States. Each of these Breweries then produced a craft beer that was aged in Jameson casks. Working on this program allowed me the touch many areas within the marketing wheel including; innovation, digital, brand strategy and brand activation.
Luckily, my Irish Whiskey story continues. Following my departure from the Jameson Graduate Programme, I have since transitioned into my new role as the Associate Brand Manager on Powers and the Prestige Whiskey Portfolio with Irish Distillers in Dublin.
